Sample Lobby Day Schedule

Plan to allow extra time for traffic, parking, T delays, and State House security.

The below is subject to change. Please rely on the final version emailed to you before the event.

10:00-11:00 am

• Arrive at the Great Hall, check in, and pick up your folder with information tailored just for you
• Help yourself to some coffee or tea. Please bring a reusable mug and/or water bottle to help us cut down on waste.
• Ask questions of staff if you have them
• Drop off towels/blankets, pet food in donation bins
• Visit information tables
• Pick up goodies

11:00-11:45 am

• Program welcome
• Legislators will accept awards and speak about animal protection legislation

11:45 am

• Group photo – please participate! Lots of people in the photo shows how many people are speaking for the animals.

12:00-12:30 pm

• A plant-based lunch from Rebecca’s is included with your registration. Please bring a reusable mug and/or water bottle to help us cut down on waste.
• Talk with representatives from the MSPCA, ARL, HWA, and ALDF about the day’s priority legislation.

12:30-4:00 pm

• Go to your appointments with legislators. Please note that 4pm is an approximate ending time. You may be done sooner depending on your appointment times.
• After your meetings, please return to the Great Hall to complete important meeting evaluation forms (in folder).
• Check back in with staff/volunteers, meet other attendees, tour the State House.
• Celebrate the work you’ve done for animals!
