Dr. Jennifer Michaels completed her pre-veterinary training at Colorado State University, majoring in biological sciences and graduating with honors. She obtained her veterinary degree with honors from Texas A&M University in 2012. She completed a small animal rotating internship in 2013, followed by a residency in neurology and neurosurgery in 2016, both at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Michaels became board-certified in Neurology with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in July 2016.
Dr. Michaels has a passion for client, veterinary technician, and veterinarian education. Within the field of veterinary neurology, she has a special interest in neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, and seizure management. In her free time, Dr. Michaels likes to read, play the cello, and travel with her husband, Martin.
