About Dr. Coster

Dr. Coster is a board-certified ophthalmologist, and joined the Ophthalmology service at Angell in 2009. Dr. Coster received his veterinary degree at Colorado State University and performed advanced training in comparative veterinary ophthalmology at Purdue University. Dr. Coster performs detailed examinations and provides advanced diagnostics, medical intervention, and surgery for a wide variety of ocular diseases. These include, but are not limited to, eyelid conformational abnormalities, corneal surface disease, dry eye, glaucoma, ocular inflammation, cataracts, lens instability, and retinal disease in all companion animal species. Our team-driven approach provides our patients an unparalleled level of care and attention. Dr. Coster’s particular special interests include cataract surgery, feline herpes virus treatment, and exotic animal ophthalmology.

Outside of work, Dr. Coster is an avid runner, and he will be participating in this year’s Falmouth Road Race in support of the MSPCA-Angell in August.
