Melanie Coiro

Melanie decided on a career change after many years as a successful chef. She had always been interested in animal biology during her studies at the University of Buffalo. After nursing two, 20-year-old cats at home, she knew she’d found her second passion. Melanie began working at Angell 14 years ago as a primary care attendant while she completed her veterinary technician degree through an online program at St. Petersburg College in Florida. She obtained her certification and became a CVT in 2005, and she achieved her VTS (ECC) certification in 2016. Melanie has been a Lead Critical Care technician since 2009. Melanie still loves to cook at home and bakes treats for her fellow employees. She spends her free time traveling with her husband and relaxing with her cats, Yoda and Clementine.
