Cardiac Catheterization

  • Balloon dilatation for pulmonic stenosis, aortic stenosis
  • Amplatzer ductal occlusion and coil embolization of PDA
  • Diagnostic cardiac catheterization and angiography

Outpatient and Inpatient Echocardiography

  • Three state-of-the-art echocardiography machines (Philips Sonos 5500 Color Flow Doppler and GE Vivid 7 Pro Color Flow Doppler)
  • Outpatient and inpatient electrocardiography
  • Two HP Pagewriter 300 machines
  • Outpatient and inpatient blood pressure determination
  • Parks Doppler, Dinamap, and Passport

Outpatient Ambulatory ECG Diagnostic Services

  • 24-hour Holter evaluation (for animals with diagnosed or suspected paroxysmal arrhythmia)
  • Event monitoring (for recurrent syncopal activity)
  • Inpatient continuous telemetric ECG recording

Pacemaker Procedures

  • Transvenous pacemaker implantation (temporary, permanent)
  • Surgically placed epicardial pacemaker implantation

Cardiac Surgery
(run in conjunction with the Angell Surgery service)

  • Pericardiectomy
  • Surgical PDA ligation
  • Open valvotomy for pulmonic stenosis
  • Epicardial pacemaker implantation

Thoracoscopy

  • Pericardial window for recurrent pericardial effusion
  • Exploratory thoracoscopy for idiopathic pleural effusion
