Dr. Topulos completed her residency in small animal surgery. She spent a year as an emergency surgery clinician followed by two years in doing soft tissue surgery. She now focuses exclusively on soft tissue procedures, including emergencies. Originally from the Boston area, she spent two years as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery at the University of Illinois before returning to Boston to join Angell West in fall 2024. Her main surgical interests include surgical oncology (treatment of cancer), surgeries in the chest cavity, and surgical emergencies. Her other professional interests are dedicated to the comfort of the patient, whether it be stress reduction (ideally before they even come in the door) or management of acute and/or chronic pain.
Outside of work Dr. Topulos spends as much time with her friends and family as possible. She is Golden Retriever obsessed and she and her husband are lucky enough to have two (Barnaby and Cornelius) that they adore. Her favorite places to be include on Cape Cod and on the back of a horse.
