At the core of our Community Outreach programs is the belief that families and pets belong together. While our adoption programs work to bring people and pets together, our Community Outreach programs work to keep families and pets together. We strive to achieve this goal by offering affordable and accessible animal care resources to families in underserved communities.
In 2018, we began programs to deepen our relationships within two of the most underserved communities in Massachusetts – Dorchester and Lowell. The Dorchester program is based on grass roots door to door outreach. The Lowell Partnership for Pets program is based upon partnerships with human service organizations and government entities already established within the community.
***Amid concerns of COVID-19 we know many people will experience loss of income and financial hardship. During this difficult time, we have suspended our spay/neuter program and vaccination clinics. We are focused on being a resource to our wider community. We are working with local food pantries to supply pet food to those in need as well as addressing emergent needs of people who have pets and are affected by this crisis. If you want to help, consider donating pet food through our Amazon Wish List or making a monetary donation. If you are in need of assistance for your pet due to COVID-19, please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
