Anne Staudenmaier, VMD, DABVP (Avian Practice), is a board-certified avian specialist who serves our avian and exotic patients at our MSPCA-Angell West hospital in Waltham. She is available by appointment to provide primary care for avian and exotic animals at the MSPCA-Angell West or to consult with your primary care veterinarian for cases that may be referred to Angell’s Avian and Exotic Medicine Service for specialty care.
Optimal wellness and emergency/critical care for avian, small mammal, reptile, fish, or other exotic pets require experienced veterinary management, specialized diagnostic and treatment protocols, and equipment and facilities designed for these special species.
Members of the Angell Avian and Exotic team include Dr. Staudenmaier and Drs. Brendan Noonan, DVM, DABVP (Avian Practice), and Patrick Sullivan, DVM, DABVP (Avian Medicine), in our Boston hospital. All have completed special training in exotic medicine, including rabbit and rodent dentistry, medical and surgical treatment of ferret diseases, and reptile medicine and surgery.
