The Diagnostic Imaging team at the MSPCA-Angell West in Waltham supports our patients and clients by providing comprehensive, in-house diagnostic expertise for our specialists. Abdominal ultrasounds are performed throughout the week at our Waltham location.

• Digital Radiography
• Contrast studies
• Iodinated contrast studies to image the urinary tract (excretory urography, cystouresthrography), intestinal tract
• Multi-slice Computed Tomography (CT Scan)
• OFA hip and elbow exams
• Ultrasound
• Fine-needle aspirates and biopsies are performed under ultrasonographic guidance
• Echocardiography
  • Echocardiograms are available for established Angell clients with stable cardiac conditions. For example, middle-aged cats or dogs with heart murmurs who require medical clearance for anesthesia for a dental or surgical procedure at Angell are good candidates for an echocardiogram at Angell West. Animals with active heart disease should establish care with Angell’s Cardiology service.
