Each year, the dedicated and professional staff at Nevins Farm cares for approximately 7,000 unwanted and homeless dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. We not only provide for their safety and well-being, but also serve as a community resource for hundreds of weekly visitors.
We are skilled at finding the right match between animal companions and new families. The staff offers counseling on animal behavior, training and support. We work with local breed rescue groups, other shelters and more than 60 volunteer foster families to find lifelong homes for animals in need.
Thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers – as well as tremendous regional support and involvement – the adoption rate for animal companions has increased dramatically over the past 10 years.
