Patty Ewing, DVM, MS, DACVP, Director, Pathology Service

Dr. Patty Ewing provides medical direction for the Clinical Laboratory, consultation with veterinarians on interpretation of laboratory test results and diagnostic test selection and evaluation of hematology and cytology samples. Dr. Ewing is board-certified in both clinical and anatomic pathology and has authored over 30 publications and six book chapters in the field of veterinary medicine.

Pamela Mouser, DVM, MS, DACVP

Dr. Mouser evaluates surgical biopsy specimens as well as histopathology samples collected from necropsy cases. She is a board-certified specialist in the field of anatomic pathology, and joined the Pathology department at Angell in 2009. Dr. Mouser’s special interests include ophthalmic and dermatologic pathology.

Joe Burton, Pathology Supervisor

Joe is a certified medical technologist with over 25 years of experience with special interests in Hematology and Immunohematology. In his spare time, Joe loves music, experiencing new foods, travel, and spending time with his Pug, Thor.

Nicole Paquette, Manager

Nicole is a certified medical technologist with a special interest in laboratory information systems.  She loves traveling, running and spending time with her two sibling cats that she adopted from the MSPCA.

Jessie Cullen Racke, Assistant Manager

Jessie is a certified medical technologist with a special interest in microbiology.  She loves to garden and spend time with her family and lovely cat “Bug”.

Thao Nguyen, Lead Tech

Thao is dual certified in histotechnology and medical technology with special interests in hematology and tissue staining techniques.  He enjoys martial arts, meditative practice and international travel.

Isabel Boltz

Isabel trained and became certified in medical technology in Germany.  She has special interests in microbiology and forensic science.  She loves to travel and spend time with her Scottish Deerhound-Border Collie cross “Whiskers”, who was rescued from Louisiana as a young pup.

Pam Dykes

Pam is a pathology assistant with special interests in medical communications and laboratory specimen processing.  Pam enjoys dancing and spending time with family.

Trevor Evans

Trevor has a B.S. in biological sciences from Rutgers University and laboratory research experience at Columbia University.  He was previously a front desk supervisor at Angell before coming to work in the laboratory.  He enjoys running, biking, kayaking and painting.

Kristi Pike

Kristi has 16 yrs of experience working as a medical laboratory assistant with special interests in hematology and clinical chemistry.  She enjoys running, bird watching, raising butterflies and caring for her three dogs, three cats and two rabbits.

Maura Lockwood

Maura has a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.  She worked as a medical technologist at Southern N.H. Medical Center, Lowell General Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital before joining Angell.  She enjoys running,  yoga, weightlifting, and horseback riding. Maura also enjoys spending her spare time hanging out with her two cats Jack and Jinx, and her pitbull Sophie.

Michael Richards

Michael has a veterinary technology degree and works as a pathology assistant with special interests in laboratory test outsourcing.  He has an eclectic taste in music and enjoys reading literature in his free time.
