Who we are
Angell has served the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center for over a century.
Angell is a premier veterinary institution staffed by over 60 senior veterinarians, 20 interns, and 15 residents. Angell offers specialty services in anesthesiology, avian and exotic medicine, behavior, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, anatomic and clinical pathology, and surgery. Angell is a rich educational environment offering weekly on-site continuing education seminars and regular multi-disciplinary specialty rounds attended by specialists from local prestigious hospitals.
Angell is part of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), one of the oldest and most respected humane organizations in the world. Working for a veterinary hospital that clearly delivers on its mission of advancing the health and welfare of animals adds a wonderful dimension to delivering high quality veterinary medicine.
Our Boston facility and resources
Our doctors practice in an ~ 86,000 square foot, state-of-the-art hospital containing a critical care unit, blood bank, multiple specialty rooms, seven surgical suites, full service clinical laboratory, microbiology service, necropsy suite, histopathology laboratory for on-site biopsy evaluation. Angell’s Diagnostic Imaging Center has an 80-slice Canon Aquilon Lightning CT scanner, and an MRI 1.5 T unit with a C-Arm for fluoroscopic imaging.
