Clinic Communications Volunteer
Description:
This is an opportunity for those interested in our low-cost clinic to take a direct part in helping people and pets in need! Strong customer service skills are a must, as is adaptability to the changing needs of the adoption center clinic. Must be excited to be a representative of the MSPCA and our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Taking calls from owners, offering directions to the clinic, and preparing for check-in
- When appropriate, greeting adoption center visitors and answering basic questions
- Assisting Clinic Coordinator with messages
- Interacting safely and positively with the public using our spay and neuter services, helping to answer their questions
- Some brief handling of animals
Qualities/Skills:
- Good customer service skills
- Empathetic, non-judgmental approach
- Ability to work independently and with other volunteers
- Bilingual applicants a plus!
Requirements:
- Attendance for virtual video interview with Volunteer Coordinator
- In Adoption Center mentor training with staff or volunteer.
Time Commitment:
- Minimum of one regular shift per week
- Available shifts: Friday from 7:45-9am and Monday 2:30-4pm
