Client Service Support
Description:
Client Service Support volunteers work both up-front and behind-the-scenes to assist our client services department. This department includes the front desk, care coordinators, and medical records. Volunteers primarily work in the lobby to support staff and welcome clients.
Responsibilities:
- Stock the coffee and pet areas in the lobby
- Various cleaning and housekeeping tasks
- Sort and organize incoming donations
- Stock and organize front desk supplies
- Greet clients and direct questions as needed
Qualities/Skills:
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to follow direction and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and with other volunteers
- Ability to lift/ carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around clients in busiest areas of the hospital
- Emotional ability to handle difficult situations involving clients or patients
Requirements:
- A minimum commitment of six months
- A weekly shift of two hours on a set day and time
- Attendance at orientation and on-site training
- Effective communication skills, including basic English language fluency
Available Shifts:
- Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm
