Thanks to several grants, the MSPCA at Nevins Farm offers low-cost spay-neuter surgeries for dogs, cats, and rabbits of low income residents in several Merrimack Valley communities.

For Dogs

Low Cost Spay-Neuter for Dogs

For residents of Lawrence, Methuen, Lowell, and Haverhill, the MSPCA at Nevins Farm is able to offer affordable spay-neuter surgeries for dogs of families in these cities who are in need of financial assistance. Thanks to a grant through the Massachusetts Animal Coalition (MAC), the cost of the spay-neuter surgery package is $75 (except for services for Pit Bulls, which is free for residents in Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, and Methuen, or $50 for Pit Bulls in all other communities, per our Pit Pals program below). The surgery package includes the spay-neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, distemper vaccination, and microchip (a form of permanent identification).

Low Cost Spay-Neuter for Pit Bulls

The MSPCA at Nevins Farm offers affordable spay-neuter surgeries to the Pit Bulls of local families in need of financial assistance. The total cost of each package is $50 and includes the spay-neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, distemper vaccination and microchip (a form of permanent identification). ***NEW***Thanks to generous donors, we are now able to offer free spay-neuter services for Pit Bulls owned by residents of Methuen, Lawrence, Haverhill, and Lowell. Proof of residency will be required at the time of service, or you will be subject to the regular Pit Pal rate of $50.

For Cats

Low Cost Spay-Neuter for Cats in Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, and Methuen*

Thanks to special grants and the generous donations of individuals, the MSPCA at Nevins Farm is able to offer low-cost spay-neuter services for cats and kittens who live in designated communities, including Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, and Methuen. The spay-neuter package is $10, and includes, the spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, FVRCP (distemper)vaccination, microchip (a form of permanent identification) and a nail trim. An MSPCA representative will be in touch within a week after receiving your application to schedule an appointment. Remember, you will be required to provide proof of residency prior to booking an appointment.

Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s CatMobile

The “CatMobile” program offers affordable spay-neuter surgeries and vaccines to the cats of Merrimack Valley families in need of financial assistance. A Neuter package is $80, a Spay package is $120, and each package includes an exam, the spay-neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, and flea treatment. For Rabbits

Low Cost Spay-Neuter for Rabbits

Thanks to special grants and the generous donations of individuals, the MSPCA at Nevins Farm is able to offer low-cost spay-neuter services for rabbits who live in designated communities (Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, and Methuen), rabbit owners struggling with breeding rabbits, or for those on financial assistance programs who can demonstrate clear financial need. The spay-neuter package is $75, and includes the spay or neuter surgery and nail trim. Please note that rabbits must be at least 6 months of age. To apply, please click on the link below. For residents of Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, or Methuen, remember that you will be required to provide proof of residency prior to booking an appointment. For those applicants with financial need, you will be required to provide supporting documentation.
