Ramen came to us as part of an overcrowding situation, so she can be uncomfortable with close handling, but is otherwise a gentle easy going rabbit. Ramen will do best with a rabbit-savvy adopter that can continue to work on socialization with Ramen. Ramen is looking to be a free roam rabbit so adopters should be willing to provide a free roam area, and be aware of rabbit proofing, which staff can review with potential adopters. We do believe that Ramen could do well with another well matched rabbit.

Say hello to Tallulah! Though a bit shy at first, she is quick to show what an avid explorer she can be and would make a great companion for a first time pig family. She prefers to spend her time basking in her wallow or taking long naps with her companion, Fiona. Due to her background, Tallulah would prefer an outdoor home where she can enjoy the run and practicing her natural behaviors such as rooting. If you are interested in learning more about Tallulah, please submit an adoption inquiry form.

Spinner is a sweet and rambunctious little puppy ready to find a new home! He came to us from the south so we don’t have a lot of information on his history, but he has been super playful and affectionate since he came to us. Spinner has been through a lot of transitions in his short life so new experiences can be a little scary and overwhelming at first. He is looking for a home where his family can help him settle in and experience the world at his own pace. Spinner could live with another dog that is excited to have a new friend and could help show him the ropes! He has a lot of puppy manners to learn and can’t wait to find a home that can teach him!
Meet Grouper! This spirit cat is ready to swim their way into their next home.
Spirit cats are very shy with people, and live in your home but are rarely seen – hence their name. They are cats who coexist in your home, and sometimes may grant you the opportunity to touch them – or they may not. Despite being shy with people, spirit cats are usually great with other cats! They are used to living with many cats, and can make excellent companions for cats in your home. It’s not uncommon for a spirit cat to get used to one or two people over time, and those people will be allowed to touch them and they may even choose to hang out near you or sleep on your bed at night. They are a great choice for people with a quiet household, who want to make a difference for an individual cat. Patience and understanding are the best tools when welcoming a spirit cat into your home. It’s important to know that spirit cats won’t magically turn into a normal acting cat – what you see is what you get for a long time, maybe always.
They are a fine choice for situations where you don’t have a lot of time to devote to a pet as they don’t require a lot of attention from humans. They are not a good choice for a busy home, including those with small children.

Budgerigars, the most common parakeet we see, are native to Australia where they live in massive flocks in the grasslands. Parakeets tend to be docile, gentle, can be easy to tame and can even talk! Despite their small size, these birds can have large vocabularies and can make a wonderful training companion. We recommend that parakeets live in pairs or groups whenever possible. Parakeets can live up to 7-15 years with proper nutrition and care, and can be a loyal companion.
We recommend a cage that is at least 27”x24” (Width x depth) with a maximum of ½” bar spacing. Cages should include lots of perches, trays for food/water and lots of toys for enrichment. Nests can be provided but should be removed if any females begin to lay eggs. We do not recommend a seed only diet as it can lead to malnutrition and other potential issues, please consult your vet for specific diet recommendations.

If you’ve always wanted backyard goats, let this be your sign – now is the time! We have a large herd of goats at Nevins Farm who are all looking for new homes. This herd comes in all sizes, ages, and colors and you’ll fall in love with their hilarious antics. These goats must stay within Massachusetts and should be a closed herd (the only ruminants on your property) due to some potential disease exposure, but that also makes them great for folks who are newer to farm animals or have just recently gained the capacity to adopt. Goats are very social animals, so we are aiming to send them home in groups of at least three so they will always have companionship and playmates. We’re here to support you and answer whatever questions you may have, so please reach out if you think you could offer a loving home to some of these wonderful goats!
Panther is a sweet, young girl who is ready for a new adventure. Flemish Giant rabbits are known for their dazzling personalities and their sweet disposition. We believe Panther is under a year so she could still be a growing girl, Flemish Giants can weigh between 12-18 pounds. Panther came from a home where she didn’t get a lot of social interaction, so she is looking for a family who can help socialize her. She is a little shy at first, but is curious and treat motivated so we think she will come around very quickly. Panther lived with a lot of other rabbits and would likely do well with a bunny friend!

Sam and Bob are a bonded pair looking to go home together!
Guinea pigs can make wonderful pets! They are very social creatures which means that they generally need at least one companion! Of course guinea pigs should only be kept with other piggies of the same sex. A pair of guinea pigs needs at minimum 10.5 sq. feet of cage space, or roughly 30″ x 50″ with a solid bottom, but more room is always encouraged! Guinea pigs can be quite noisy which can be lovely as long as you are expecting it!
* We are currently closed to the general public but are scheduling appointments for adoption. If you would like to schedule a browsing appointment to meet guinea pigs available for adoption, please click on the blue “Inquire” link above to get started.

Meet Fluff ! This handsome male cat was just recently transferred here from a shelter in Florida. We do not have much of a history on him. He is a little shy at first, but warms up after getting some good head rubs. Also our Medical team found a slight heart murmur (please speak to an MSPCA Adoption Counselor for more infomation on that).

Finches have a wonderful voice, and can be a joy to watch, but tend not to be a “hands on” bird. Native to Australia, finches can live up to 10 years with proper nutrition and care. We recommend that finches live in pairs or groups whenever possible.
We recommend a cage that is at least 27”x24” (Width x depth) with a maximum of ½” bar spacing. Cages should include lots of perches, trays for food/water and lots of toys for enrichment. As a result of finches being a “hands off” bird they tend to spend much of their lives inside their cage, so we heavily recommend investing in a very spacious cage with lots of enrichment.
The needs of each finch are unique and if you have questions about the right type of enclosure for the finch you are interested in, please let us know in your inquiry! We are happy to provide guidance and advice.

Meet Senator and Avalanche! These adorable babies are cute as can be and are going to grow up to be big and sturdy bunny companions. They are social and outgoing and will be ready to take their new homes by storm. They don’t need to go home together and would probably be just fine being apart.
