Meet Wendy! With her sleek, shiny coat, big block head, and her zest for life, she’ll be sure to sweep you off your feet. With her energy, size, and enthusiasm, she may actually sweep you off your feet (!)…but if you’re hoping to be smothered with love and to have a new adventure pal, she would be happy to fit the bill! Wendy is a big, rowdy pup so her dog and human companions should be able to tolerate or match her! She also has quite the nose for smaller criters so slow introductions to cat friends would best suit her.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in – and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
Do you need an absolute love bug girl in your life, that wants to give you sloppy kisses while she wags her tail non stop??? Waverly would like to apply and be your best friend for years to come. At 4 years old, she`s way past all those pesky puppy shenanigans. She may need to brush up on her `how to say hello when you`re excited` manners. While Waverly is a big social butterfly with people, she`s not that comfortable with dogs, so she is not a candidate for dog parks/daycare. Although should be the only superstar dog in the home, she may be able to live with a dog savvy cat. Since she can be a sometimes bouncy, always happy girl, any kids in the home should be comfortable with a larger dog. If this pretty girl tugs at your heartstrings, please fill out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the shelter during open hours to talk to staff. Waverly is waiting for you!
Cooper is a sweet and gentle old man who still has some pep in his step! He came to us with limited history but has been friendly with our staff and volunteers alike and isn’t shy about asking for attention. He would love to find a home where he will have the time he needs to settle in and feel comfortable. As a senior gentleman, he would benefit from an adopter willing to work with their veterinarian to help him feel his best as he gets older.

Meet smokey! He loves long walks and enetertaining himself with toys. This guy is full of energy and is ready to be your best friend. Smokey can get a little over excited sometimes, which leads to some silly behaviors such as leash grabbing. He is doing well with his training, and potential adopters should be excited to continue this training in the home. Smokey has a history of living with other dogs, and has many pup firends here at the shelter, so a well matched canine sibling could be in the cards. Come meet this handsome guy today!
Introducing Roxy! This gentle giant is as wonderful as she is large. Roxy is looking for a family who can work with their vet to help her get down to a healthier weight. Luckily, she has enjoyed meeting new people and going for leisurely walks, so we expect her to bring that same enthusiasm to exercise! Roxy is not interested in living with another dog, but could do well with children who can be respectful of her boundaries when she needs breaks.

Handsome, athletic and clever are just some of ways to describe this very good boy, Odin. He is 4 years old and looking for his forever person to fall in love with everything Odin. Although he is not always comfortable with close handling, Odin can be cuddly once very comfortable. True to most of his breed, this smart guy can be a bit of an escape artist, so his adopter should plan on always having leashed, supervised outside time, so he doesn’t go on a walkabout. An adult only home without other pets is exactly where Odin will thrive and bedazzle you with his awesomeness. Dog parks/daycare are not for him, however, he may be able to have a well matched walking buddy that has a similar amount of energy. Odin will make a spectacular companion and if you think it should be you, please fill out the inquiry form or stop by the shelter to talk with staff.
Canon is ready to find a new home of their own! We’re not sure what these little pups are mixed with, but we think they will likely be on the larger side. They are all still learning the ropes and will need a patient family to teach them all the doggie basics like walking on a leash and housetraining. They could likely go to a home with another dog who wants an annoying younger sibling to be role model to. These puppies have been through lots of transitions in their short lives and are looking for a home that can help them figure out the world in a safe and fun way!
Heidi is a super happy gal that loves attention from people! Sometimes her enthusiasm gets the best of her and she`s literally jumping for joy. Her adopters will need to help her learn that four on the floor is the appropriate way to say hi to those she loves. Heidi and her siblings spent most of their time living outdoors before being tranfered to our shelter, so potential adopters should be excited to teach her all about living indoors and how to be a good member of society! Heidi is a smart gal that is already enjoying learning through positive rewards training. At just a year and half, she will need both physical exercise and mental enrichment, especially to help her decompress as she has had many changes in a short period of time. Giving Heidi an opportunity to settle in with just her family before venturing too far, will provide time to get acquainted and form a strong bond. Puppy proofing the home, even for adult dogs, helps dogs new to the home to make good choices, right from the start. Heidi should be able to join a home with a well matched resident dog or possibly a dog savvy cat. Sturdy kids that are comfortable with a large, sometimes bouncy dogs, will be considered. If this sweet, funny and affectionate gal sounds like she might be a good fit, please fill out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the adoption center during open hours to chat with staff!
This handsome guy is definitely all about the people. He`s ready to go for a walk, hike or just hang out with you. Bo is just two years old and was a bit worried when he came to the shelter, so his adopters should plan on keeping his world small at first. Just hanging around at home with household members will give Bo time to bond with his adopters while they learn what makes this good boy happy and comfortable. While a dog friend in the home is a possibility, he may be just as happy as the only dog. No cats for this guy! Older kids that can participate in training and is comfortable with a sometimes bouncy dog, will be considered. This sweet boy will be your best friend, if interested in more information, please fill out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the shelter during open hours to talk to staff.
Bella Maureen
1 Year 4 Months Old
Spayed Female
Boxer Mix
Bella Maureen is a silly and spunky lady ready to find her new home! She loves to play and run around, chasing toys and throwing them around is one of her favorite past times. She is working on her leash manners and is definitely interested in learning. She can be a little stubborn when she doesn’t want to do something or if she gets nervous in new places. Bella Maureen has enjoyed playing with other dogs at the shelter and while she might be a bit awkward in her introduction we think she might do well with a dog social dog! She could likely live with kids who don’t mind being knocked over by this bowling ball.

Meet Kisses!! This little boy is super sweet and loves to give kisses! He’s very energetic and enjoys playing with toys and his humans. He knows his basic commands such as sit and stay, and he’s always ready to learn new things when you have yummy treats with you. Kisses is super people friendly and dog friendly as well! He is a small ball of goofiness and would love if you came down and met him today!
This adorable tripod is Tyler! Having just three legs does not stop him from living life to the fullest! He loves to hang around with his human and dog friends alike (he has a lot of energy and comes in fast while meeting other canine friends, but seems to enjoy puppies the most!) Tyler loves to sit on his dog bed and play with his favorite toys! He does lack in some manners so he needs a home who will work with him and give him the training he needs. Come down and meet Tyler today!
Meet Finn! This smiley guy is ready for a life full of adventure! Finn’s favorite things include getting pets from his favorite people and running around with a tennis ball. Finn is very excited about life, and this can lead to some jumpy and mouthy behaviors. He’s looking for a family that will help him manage his excitement levels by providing him with lots of excercise and enrichment to keep his big head entertained! He should meet any children in the home to make sure they’re okay with his size and energy levels. Finn also does well with other dogs here at the shelter, and we anticipate he would enjoy the company of dogs in his new home Any potential dog siblings should come and meet him to make sure they are a good match. Come meet him today!
Koda is a sweet and silly pup looking for a new home! She can be a little nervous at first, but once she settles in she is spunky and sassy! Koda grew up with her brother, but can be a shy around new dogs. She might be able to live with a new dog friend with a slow introduction. Once she gets comfortable she loves to snuggle and hasn’t gotten the hint that she isn’t a lap dog. Koda is looking for a family who can show her the ropes and let her settle in at her own pace!

Such a cutie and so sweet! Gummy Bear is just a year old and she`s more than ready to have a family and home to call her own. She has been through quite a few transitions in a short period of time and will need plenty of time to settle in with her family members before expecting her to go out on any new adventures. Gummy Bear is successfully working on keeping her natural exuberance for life a bit more controlled and she loves long sniffy walks to use up that young girl energy. Some good old fashioned ear scritches are a favorite of hers. She may be able to join a home with a well matched resident dog or she will also be perfectly happy to just have a walking buddy outside the home. Gummy Bear does politely decline the company of cats though as she might think they`re fun to chase. Teens and up are the perfect fit for this pretty girl. If you`d like more info, please start by filling out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the shelter during open hours and chat with staff.
Meet Grahams, aka the life of the party! She’s a silly, sassy gal who loves a good snuggle as much as she loves her zoomies. With her sleek, silvery coat and her amber eyes, she’ll be sure to sweep you off your feet. We think she could be a great adventure buddy with a little time and patience. She could likely live with another dog with slow introductions – as long as they are ok with making an energetic friend! She has no history living with a cat or children.

Sorbet is just as sweet as her name suggests. We don’t know much about her life before she came to us, but was very underweight and in need of some medical TLC to help her feel better. Because we don’t know too much about her previous life, she’s looking for an adopter that will take some time to get to know her at home before bringing her on any big adventures. Sorbet can be very enthusiastic, much like a puppy! There’s some potential for jumping on guests or getting into things she’s not supposed to when she first comes home, so adopters will need to make some puppy-proofing prevention measures at first.

Lila is a sweet lady who came to us under some curious circumstances. She was found outside with some injuries to her face and came to us to recover and get the care she needed! Lila has been on the mend and is feeling much better. When she first got to the shelter she was understandably very nervous of most new people, but started making friends quickly. She can still be a bit worried of new people, but with a slow introduction she can warm up. When Lila picks her friends she is the sweetest, snuggliest girl who just wants to sit in your lap and get hugs and kisses!
Lila is looking for a family that can help her settle in and experience new things at her own pace. She still has lots of doggy manners to learn and needs a home that has plenty of time to spend helping her pick up the basics!

Tank is a silly, exuberant boy who can’t wait to find a new home! He is an energetic boy who loves to play, but can also settle nicely when the mood strikes. Tank can get a little too excited sometimes and will need a family who can help him get out his energy physically and mentally. He has lived with another dog before and could likely live with another friend if they met and got along.
This beautiful meatball is Purdy Girl! She can be a tad shy with new people, but with a treat or two she will be your new best buddy. Adopters should be patient and understanding as it may take Purdy Girl a little extra time to feel comfortable in her new home. Once she warms up she loves to play, go on hikes, and explore the world around her. In her previous shelter, she enjoyed playing with other well matched dogs, so she may be okay with a well matched canine pal.
Meet Dippin Dot! This baby dog is already the life of the party. Dippin Dot was transferred to us from the south, so we don’t know much about his history. He’s ready to get silly in his new home, but is also eager to learn his puppy manners. Dippin Dot has been through a lot of transitions in his short life, so he is also looking for a home that can help him adjust to life in the Northeast at his own pace.
