In my previous home I was described as sweet and loving, and very fond of food this sounds like a great training opportunity! I am a goofy boy who likes to sleep with the shoes of my people, and I enjoy a good chin scratch while snoozing.
I am a shy boy who does not do well with change. I need an adopter who will let me move at my own pace. I will need a quiet room to settle in while I am adjusting. My adopter should be prepared to leave me alone for several days, except for feeding and cleaning, before trying to interact with me. My adopter should be patient and understanding, and who is committed to giving me time and not pushing interactions.
I can be moody, and I can get overstimulated with a lot of touch. I need an adopter who understands cat-body language and can give me space if I need it. I do not enjoy forced handling, and I may need a fear-free vet going forward.
I need a home that is not only quiet but enriching! I am a great cat for a young couple looking to keep things fun in the home for their cat, while also making sure he is comfortable. I would love a home that allows plenty of time to play, as well as some cuddle time.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Dogs: No thank you.
Cats: No thank you, previously lived with a cat and did not enjoy it.
Kids: Maybe: clear boundaries should be set prior to them interacting with Freddie, as well as the meets should be supervised.
