Animal Protection

Animal Action Team schedule

Want to learn more about how to help animals by changing public policy?  The MSPCA will be holding workshops across Massachusetts to explain the legislative process and how you can use your voice to make a difference for animals.  Lobby 101 will be an introductory program that will cover: the legislative process, current pending legislation, how we decide what issues to pursue legislatively, and how to influence your legislators.  Lobby 102 will build on the knowledge from Lobby 101 and will be geared for advocates who want to become more involved and devote more time to specific issues.  We will hear from others who have pursued ordinances in their communities to help animals and have a discussion about ways to proceed.  It is not necessary to attend a Lobby 101 to attend a Lobby 102, but a basic understanding of the legislative process and animal protection issues is requested.
