Meet the Team

Kathy Beck, DVM, DACVR, Section HeadBeck
Dr. Beck, a board-certified veterinary radiologist, has been a veterinary radiologist for more than two decades and has seen many advances in diagnostic imaging as it applies to pets. Her areas of expertise include standard radiography (X-rays), cross-sectional imaging modalities of CT and MRI, and ultrasound including guided fine-needle aspirates and biopsies of suspected tissue abnormalities. A particular area of interest is balloon dilatation of esophageal strictures, a procedure that gives her the opportunity to treat patients. She is also the radiation safety officer and directs the nuclear medicine program. As Section Head, she oversees quality assurance for the imaging areas as well as acquisition of new or updated equipment.

ReganJoan Regan, VMD, DACVR
Dr. Regan, one of three board-certified veterinary radiologists at Angell, performs and interprets a variety of imaging studies to aid clinicians in making diagnoses. Available modalities include radiology/fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and selected nuclear medicine studies. She guides interns, residents and staff veterinarians in the selection of the most appropriate study and helps them to interpret the results in light of other clinical data. Dr. Regan performs frequent ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspirates and biopsies for cytology and histology.
