Meet the Blood Bank Team

Audrey Koid, DVM, DACVECC-SA, Head of the Angell Blood Bank

Dr. Koid is an experienced emergency and critical care specialist that has been working in our bustling ICU and ER for several years.  She has a great interest in blood banking and has managed our Angell Blood Bank since 2023.  Dr. Koid is a very caring and compassionate doctor that enjoys working with our donors (and their families!) to help save the lives of our ICU patients in need.

Martha Andriolatos, CVT, VTS (ECC), Angell Blood Bank Supervisor

Martha is a veterinary technician that also has a specialty certification in emergency and critical care and has worked in very busy ERs and ICUs for over 20 years.  She has a special interest in blood banking because its crucial to the survival of many of our ICU patients.  She has been working in the Angell Blood Bank since 2021 and enjoys seeing it grow because it only means we can help more dogs and cats in need.  On down time, Martha enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the outdoors by kayaking, paddle boarding, beaching, and hiking.  She also enjoys hanging out with her dog Jalapeno (former donor) and her cat, Rhubarb Pie (never was interested in sharing her blood).

Zachary MacIntosh, Blood Bank Technician

Zach MacIntosh has been working in veterinary medicine for the past 8 years and has held many titles but blood banking is by far one of his favorites. With two out of his four dogs, Alfi and Toby, being blood donors along with his cat Obi, it warms his heart to see the immediate impact they have at Angell and in the surrounding community. They have helped save many critical and sick patients, some of which have even been Zach’s own patients in an ICU setting. Zach looks forward to working with donors and clients each day to make a positive experience and working towards the same goal of us saving lives, together.
