Description:
This is an opportunity for people who are excited to engage with clients, ensuring an efficient check-in process! Clinic Concierge volunteers should have an attention to detail, be highly proficient with computers, have the ability to learn new software, be adaptable to the changing needs of the adoption center, and be excited to be a friendly and professional representative of the MSPCA and our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Checking in clients in a streamlined and efficient manner is the focus of the current open volunteer shift.
- Answering phones and checking voicemails.
- Responding to email inquiries regarding our Spay/Neuter programs.
- Online-based administrative work for our Spay/Neuter programs.
- Collaborating with staff members to accurately represent our programs.
Qualities/Skills:
- Good customer service skills
- Proficiency in using a computer without assistance, and learning new programs. All volunteers digitally log hours and use an online scheduling function. Clinic Concierges perform additional tasks on a computer as a core part of their role.
- Experience with Excel and Google Drive required.
- Empathetic, non-judgmental approach
- Ability to work independently and with other volunteers
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
- Capability to carry cats up to 20lbs in carriers to and from the clinic.
Requirements:
- Attendance at orientation
- On-the-job training
Time Commitment:
- A weekly shift on a set day and time.
- Minimum of 4 consecutive months.
- Shifts currently available for this position are Monday 8am-10am, Monday 10am-12pm, and Wednesday 7am-8am. If one of these shifts does not fit your availability, please check back at a later time. Please note, the Wednesday shift requires an exceptionally high level of proficiency with both computers and in-person customer service. Experience checking in animals at a vet clinic or humans in for medical visits highly preferred for the Wednesday shift.
