MSPCA-Cape Cod’s Fourth Annual Dive into the Atlantic Slated for Super Bowl Sunday!
BOSTON and Centerville, Mass., Jan. 30, 2018 – The bravest animal lovers on Cape Cod will once again make the mad dash from the sand of Craigville beach in Centerville, Mass. into the icy waters of the Atlantic in a bid to raise thousands of dollars for animals on the Cape, the MSPCA-Cape Cod announced today.
The fourth annual Polar Bear Plunge, chaired by Sara Kohls, is scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 4 at noon. Online registration is open and on-site registration begins at 11:15 a.m. on the day. Participants are encouraged to register online as soon as possible to secure their spot in the lineup.
Registration is $25 and includes a 2018 Super Bowl Sunday Polar Bear Plunge towel courtesy of Cape Cod Commercial Linens—and any donation over $50 earns a plunger a limited edition “Shock & Thaw” and “Plunge for Paws”-themed long sleeve shirt.
There is ample public parking available right at Craigville beach and all plungers and their supporters are invited to the Barnstable Tavern in Barnstable for complimentary chowder and nibbles immediately following the plunge.
