Meet Caroline
Caroline is a smart, treat-motivated girl who loves being close to her people and is happiest when she has a job to do, especially if it involves training or sniffy, exploratory walks!
She’s an affectionate companion at heart and enjoys connection once she feels safe and comfortable.
Caroline is still learning to trust new people and environments, so she’s looking for a patient adopter who will go at her pace and give her time to decompress. She may need space at first and will do best with a calm, predictable routine where she can build confidence gradually.
She has shown that she can be worried in new situations and selective in her dog friendships, so thoughtful introductions and respectful handling will be important. With time, understanding, and positive reinforcement, Caroline has all the potential to become a loyal, loving companion who truly bonds with her person.
Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Caroline. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 11:30am-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
