Klaus is a super happy guy that loves attention from people! Sometimes his enthusiasm gets the best of him and he`s literally jumping for joy. His adopters will need to help him learn that four on the floor is the appropriate way to say hi to those he loves. Klaus and his siblings spent most of their time living outdoors before being tranfered to our shelter, so potential adopters should be excited to teach him all about living indoors and how to be a good member of society! Klaus is a smart guy that is already enjoying learning through positive rewards training. At just a year and half, he will need both physical exercise and mental enrichment, especially to help him decompress as he has had many changes in a short period of time. Giving Klaus an opportunity to settle in with just his family before venturing too far, will provide time to get acquainted and form a strong bond. Puppy proofing the home, even for adult dogs, helps dogs new to the home to make good choices, right from the start. Klaus should be able to join a home with a well matched resident dog or possibly a dog savvy cat. Sturdy kids that are comfortable with a large, sometimes bouncy dogs, will be considered. If this sweet, funny and affectionate guy sounds like he might be a good fit, please fill out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the adoption center during open hours to chat with staff!
Meet Faith. This sweet girl is always happy and excited to say hello! Sometimes she can get too excited, so will need some help working on her manners. Faith has played with other dogs here at the shelter, but can be socially awkward. She may do well with a confident dog who can help her learn to play nicely/will be tolerant of her awkward and persistent requests to play. Due to her size and energy level she would do best with older kids who are not put off by a very jumpy/pushy dog and can help with consistency and training
Meet Pixie! This spunky girl is ready for an adventure partner! Pixie is a young dog who is full of bouncy energy, and will require a lot of physical and mental stimulation to thrive. Adopters should be excited to help this girl in her quest to becoming an upstanding citizen by contining her training. The good news is she is food motivated, and will do anything for a good treat! Pixie gets along well with dogs here at the shelter that can keep up with her fast paced play. Any kiddos in the home should be sturdy and excited to participate in her training. Come meet this pretty girl today!
Link is an adorable and sweet 9 month old guy that`s ready to settle into his forever home. This young boy is ready to learn all he needs to know to mature into a wonderful family friend, now he just needs to find adopters that are excited to help him achieve this goal. Anticipating the need to be flexible with training needs as he settles in, will help everyone be successful. Link loves to play with his toys and once he`s comfortable, he`ll be a great snuggle buddy. This good boy has been gaining more confidence through his training, while at the shelter and his personality is really blossoming. A confident, well mannered resident dog, who would be a good role model, is a possibility. Link may be able to join a home with a dog savvy cat, but this will require more management. Because it`s important for Link to have consistency in his training, teenaged kids that will participate, is the appropriate fit. Adopting a young dog requires patience and work, but it`s also a super fun time, filled with love! If Link sounds like just the good boy for you, start by filling out the inquiry form.

Bella Maureen
1 Year 4 Months Old
Spayed Female
Boxer Mix
Bella Maureen is a silly and spunky lady ready to find her new home! She loves to play and run around, chasing toys and throwing them around is one of her favorite past times. She is working on her leash manners and is definitely interested in learning. She can be a little stubborn when she doesn’t want to do something or if she gets nervous in new places. Bella Maureen has enjoyed playing with other dogs at the shelter and while she might be a bit awkward in her introduction we think she might do well with a dog social dog! She could likely live with kids who don’t mind being knocked over by this bowling ball.

Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
This 2 year old beauty is ready to get the party started!! Energetic and so silly, Mina loves to play with toys, especially a jolly ball- full disclosure- that`s an activity best enjoyed outside. Inside time should include mental enrichment and learning how to settle in. This girl is the definition of a mush pot, she loves people! While Mina says there should only be room in her new family’s heart for one canine, she could potentially enjoy a well-matched, appropriate dog friend on an outdoor adventrue! Cats would be totally overwhelmed with her big personality, so even though she should be an only pet, she promises to fill the home with an abundance of pittie smiles and love. Teens who are comfortable with this happy girl who happens to resemble a small tank when playing, will be considered. Up the joy and laugh factors in your home, when you adopt beautiful Mina.
Meet Chloe! She’s the perfect blend of active and cuddly – if you’re the outdoorsy type looking for an adventure buddy, Chloe might be your gal! She has had positive interactions with other dogs and may be able to live with another dog. We do not have history of her living with a cat, but may be able to with slow introductions.

This sweet girl is Murial. She can be a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly and becomes the super silly girl we know and love. She adores squeaky toys, but just wants you to squeak them for her. She also loves to play fetch with tennis balls. Ms. Murial loves belly rubs and can’t wait for a home of her own to explore. She says no thank you to feline friends. Come meet Murial today!
Margo is ready to find a new home of their own! We’re not sure what these little pups are mixed with, but we think they will likely be on the larger side. They are all still learning the ropes and will need a patient family to teach them all the doggie basics like walking on a leash and housetraining. They could likely go to a home with another dog who wants an annoying younger sibling to be role model to. These puppies have been through lots of transitions in their short lives and are looking for a home that can help them figure out the world in a safe and fun way!
Lila is a sweet lady who came to us under some curious circumstances. She was found outside with some injuries to her face and came to us to recover and get the care she needed! Lila has been on the mend and is feeling much better. When she first got to the shelter she was understandably very nervous of most new people, but started making friends quickly. She can still be a bit worried of new people, but with a slow introduction she can warm up. When Lila picks her friends she is the sweetest, snuggliest girl who just wants to sit in your lap and get hugs and kisses!
Lila is looking for a family that can help her settle in and experience new things at her own pace. She still has lots of doggy manners to learn and needs a home that has plenty of time to spend helping her pick up the basics!

Meet Lunar! Don’t let her size fool you, this big girl is a sensitive soul that dreams of being a lap dog! With her buddies here at the shelter Lunar is playful, energetic, and loves a good cuddle! Lunar can be worried about new places and people, so this sweet girl is looking for an adopter ready to take it slow and give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable in her new home and help her build her confidence at her own pace. Lunar could live with a well-matched dog or dog-savvy cat and could do well with kids that can read her body language.

Peach is a peach! This sweet (just like her namesake) girl can be shy at first but warms up quickly. She has previously done well with cats, so may be able to have a feline sibling. Peach was easily overwhelmed by other dogs in playgroups here at the shelter, so may do better with calmer dogs who can respect her limits.
Miso is a very handsome one and a half year old boy that will be happy to accompany his family on walks and you may just find him snuggling under the covers when bedtime comes. This good boy is already crate and house trained. Miso is a sensitive soul and he was a bit worried when first coming to the shelter, but now has his circle of human friends he enjoys hanging out with. His adopters should anticipate that transitioning to his new home may cause him to bit a bit more quiet as he settles in. Having a quiet area with a crate ready for him will give a safe place to relax if he needs too. Miso may be able to join a home with a well matched, mellower resident dog. A dog savvy cat, with well managed introductions is a possibility. Teens that will be respectful of Miso`s personality are the appropriate fit. Miso is ready to get his happy ever after started, if interested in this delightful chap, please stop in the shelter during open hours- Tuesday- Sunday 12-3pm, to chat with staff.
Sorbet is just as sweet as her name suggests. We don’t know much about her life before she came to us, but was very underweight and in need of some medical TLC to help her feel better. Because we don’t know too much about her previous life, she’s looking for an adopter that will take some time to get to know her at home before bringing her on any big adventures. Sorbet can be very enthusiastic, much like a puppy! There’s some potential for jumping on guests or getting into things she’s not supposed to when she first comes home, so adopters will need to make some puppy-proofing prevention measures at first.

This beauty, with the soulful eyes and sugar frosted face, is waiting to start her new big adventure. Lovely Uma is 7 years old and spent the majority of her life outside with a large group of dogs. This means that inside living will be a wonderful, new experience, that will most likely take time for her to adjust to. Uma is extremely sweet, has learned to walk on leash like a champ and is enjoying making new human friends at the shelter. Her adopters should plan on giving her plenty of time to settle in at her new home with just household members before expecting her to meet new people. This provides a great opportunity to bond with her while getting to know her personality and what makes her feel most comfortable. She may be able to join a home with a very mellow, older resident dog or possibly a dog savvy cat. Any kids in the family should be old enough to understand and respect that inside living will be a big change for Uma and she will need lots of time to not feel overwhelmed.
If you`d love to give a home to this very deserving dog, please fill out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the shelter during open hours to talk with staff.
Meet Dippin Dot! This baby dog is already the life of the party. Dippin Dot was transferred to us from the south, so we don’t know much about his history. He’s ready to get silly in his new home, but is also eager to learn his puppy manners. Dippin Dot has been through a lot of transitions in his short life, so he is also looking for a home that can help him adjust to life in the Northeast at his own pace.

This handsome guy is definitely all about the people. He`s ready to go for a walk, hike or just hang out with you. Bo is just two years old and was a bit worried when he came to the shelter, so his adopters should plan on keeping his world small at first. Just hanging around at home with household members will give Bo time to bond with his adopters while they learn what makes this good boy happy and comfortable. While a dog friend in the home is a possibility, he may be just as happy as the only dog. No cats for this guy! Older kids that can participate in training and is comfortable with a sometimes bouncy dog, will be considered. This sweet boy will be your best friend, if interested in more information, please fill out the adoption inquiry form or stop by the shelter during open hours to talk to staff.

Meet Chip! This handsome little fella is as friendly as can be and can’t wait to meet his new person. He’s a great size for snuggling and adventuring, and is ready for whatever fun activity comes his way. He’ll make a great walking companion and loves to entertain himself with toys. We don’t know much about Chip’s life before we met him, but think he could do well living with another dog on the mellow/polite size (really excited dogs are a little scary!), a dog-savvy cat, or kids.

This handsome man is Steve. He is a bouncy, energetic guy that can sometimes find new things scary at first. After about 2 minutes and a treat or two, you’ll find this dude leaning into your lap asking for ear scratches and giving some kisses. He would thrive in a home that will give him time to decompress in the new environment and get used to all the new sounds and surroundings. He would most likely love to go on adventures and hikes in the great outdoors- he is from the adventurous South Carolina you know! Having adopters that are able to read and respect his body language and understand when he’s feeling uncomfortable will help set him up for success.
It’s hard to keep a straight face around Zee. He is such a character! Zee is an entertaining and clownish lovebug. He adores being with people and isn’t above capering about foolishly to make them laugh. Zee is supremely silly. Coupled with his jolly friendliness, we think this makes Zee a pretty great dog. Zee previously lived in a home so he has a baseline of house knowledge. Zee is social with other dogs as well, although he refrains from rowdy play when he’s in playgroup. If you want a dog that will keep you smiling, press the inquire button below to check out this charmer!
