Meet Bear

Meet Bear! Their favorite things are cuddling and getting pets, fetch, playing in the water, and people! Bear is a happy, bouncy, and super wiggly pup, looking for a family to bring endless joy! Bear loves to play and is full of energy, and would make a great companion for someone looking for an active buddy to keep busy with. Bear has enjoyed wrestling with other dogs here at the shelter, so we think they might do well with a canine sibling that likes to romp and play as much as they do.

Bear is an eager learner is looking for a patient owner to help them master polite greetings, leash skills, and doggy basics—training together will be a fun and rewarding journey!

Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Bear. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 11:30am-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
