Premiere New England Business Owner Hand Delivers Proceeds from Popular #SNELovesPets Social Fundraising Campaign
BOSTON, Dec. 7, 2015 – The love that pet owners have for their animals combined this past October with a wildly popular social media campaign, resulting in a $40,995 donation to the MSPCA-Angell, which will be hand-delivered by Ernie Boch Jr., President and CEO of Subaru of New England on Tuesday, Dec. 8, the two organizations announced today.
Subaru of New England, based in Norwood, Mass., threw down the gauntlet to pet owners in October, committing $5 for every social media post that included a photo of a pet along with the #SNELovesPets hashtag.
More than 8,000 tweets, Instagram and Facebook posts soon followed, raising $40,995 to fund the veterinary, law enforcement, advocacy and animal sheltering programs at the MSPCA.
Presentation of the $40,995 check from Subaru of New England to the MSPCA-Angell, featuring executives from both organizations gathered at the MSPCA’s Jamaica Plain animal care and adoption center, with staff, volunteers and adoptable animals on-hand for photographs and interviews.
