Sponsors, Runners, Walkers and Dogs Laced up and Hit the Streets in Somerville
BOSTON, May 21, 2017 – Yesterday’s MSPCA-Angell Fast and Furriest Run, Walk, Wag 5K brought 1,500 runners and walkers, accompanied by over 750 dogs, to Baxter Park at Assembly Row in Somerville, Mass. for the second annual fun run—a run that raised over $185,000 for the MSPCA.
The second annual community event featured a timed 5K fun run, a shorter walk and a “Ducky Dash” kids’ fun run—each featuring canines, of course.
All funds raised will benefit the tens of thousands of animals served every year by the MSPCA’s three adoption centers, hospitals and other animal protection programs.
