Meet Hank
Meet Hank! This shy sweetie can sometimes take a little while to warm up to new people, but once he feels safe and secure, he’s a playful and silly guy. Hank is still getting the hang of going for leashed walks, but so far, he’s shown that he absolutely loves to sniff, be it a field of flowers, your neighbor’s trash can, or a particularly good pile of leaves. If it has a smell, Hank wants to sniff it! Adopters should be ready for nice, leisurely paced walks when Hank’s got his nose to the ground.
Hank has a good history living with older kids, so could do well in a home with children who can help in his training and management plan. He hasn’t lived with dogs or cats before, so would need complete separation to start and a slow introduction to best set him up for success if there are any other pets in the home. Hank can be very excitable when interacting with other dogs, so would do best with a tolerant dog able to show him the ropes.
Hank adores his people and prefers to stick close, so he may need a little help feeling secure when left alone. The good news? You’ll always have a devoted, loving shadow by your side!
Stop by our Cape Cod Adoption Center to meet Hank. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 1pm-4pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
