ATTENTION COVID-19 UPDATE:
During the pandemic, we continue to prioritize the safety of our volunteers, staff and the public. As need for support arises, we are posting and accepting a limited number of applications for specific volunteer opportunities.
Current volunteer opportunities are listed below. Please read over the Job Descriptions for open positions as they outline the duties of the particular volunteer role. Please apply to the particular position if it aligns with your interests. We will open and close volunteer position listings as our needs change. Thank you for your patience!
We are sorry but we currently do not have any open positions at this time
The safety of our volunteers is incredibly important to us, and though we rely on the help of local animal lovers for nearly every aspect of the work we do, we need to limit the amount of people coming into the adoption center, and interactions we’re having. We are focused on slowly phasing our 1,300 current volunteers back into our adoption centers in a manner that is safe for our staff, clients and volunteers.
We do not know what the future will bring, and in what ways we will need your support the most. If you’d like to help us right now from home, please consider making a donation to the Cape or explore other ways to help.
Become a Rescue Rider!
We are looking for animal lovers out there to join our ‘Rescue Riders’ team. Join the Rescue Rider’s FB group and stay in the loop when we have wild and domesticated animals that need immediate transport to surgical appointments, loving foster homes, or specialized rescues. You could be chauffeuring a hawk with a broken wing to Tufts one day, and a stray elderly cat with a broken heart back to its worried owners the next! You don’t need to say yes to every plea, but know that if you’re able to take on one of these Rescue Rides, you’re profoundly helping the shelter and most especially, the animal you’re driving. Visit our Facebook Group Page and click on the Request to Join Group button. Tell your animal loving friends to do the same, and help us help more animals!
Are you a Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician or Vet Assistant?
We are looking for MA licensed veterinarians, veterinary technicians or vet assistants with 1-2 years of experience to volunteer at our spay/neuter clinic. Email email@example.com if you are interested in learning more!
Please email our volunteer coordinator or call the Adoption Center at 508-775-0940.
The MSPCA-Cape Cod was honored to be a part of Cape Cod Senior Navigator’s show about volunteers for seniors! Please watch and share about the incredible opportunities for seniors to make a difference on Cape Cod and beyond.
