MSPCA Adoption Centers Volunteer Philosophy
Volunteers are an integral pillar of the MSPCA team and are critical to the success of our mission to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society. Through their unique talents, knowledge, and care volunteers improve the lives of the animals we encounter through our programs and in our communities. Together, staff and volunteers act as positive role models as we strive to provide an integrated culture of kindness and support for the animals in our community and the people that love them.
Thank you for being here! We are looking for volunteers who are compassionate and kind, collaborative and dependable. In 2024, a total of 120 volunteers served over 8,400 hours of volunteer service! If you are passionate about the mission of the MSPCA, we would love for you to join the team.

Group Opportunities
The availability of on-property tasks for groups is limited. We encourage school groups and civic organizations to hold a supply drive benefiting our Community Outreach pet food pantry. These are hugely helpful! Our most common needs are wet and dry cat food, wet and dry dog food, dog and cat toys, and cat litter. If your corporate group is interested in an on-property group volunteer opportunity in exchange for a monetary donation to MSPCA-Angell, please visit our Corporate Volunteer Program page for more information.
