The MSPCA considers humane education for all ages a priority, as a means of fostering compassion, responsibility and respect toward animals, each other, and the environment. To attain this goal, we are committed to offering a wide variety of outreach programs to the public, including tours, off-site visits, classroom lesson plans, a story time for our youngest visitors, a children’s summer camp, and adult education seminars.

New "Animal Protection Club" for 9th and 10th graders!
Guided Tours
We offer guided tours of our adoption facilities Tuesday-Friday, from September through May. Please note that we are unable to offer guided tours from June-August. However, you may participate in a small self-guided tour of our facilities during the summer months or simply stop by for a visit with your friends or family!
Off-Site Visits
We are happy to visit your classroom or club from September through May to discuss the importance of responsible animal care and the mission of the MSPCA. Discussion topics are tailored by age group, and can include dog safety, care of small animals, myths about bully breeds, respecting wildlife, the importance of spay/neuter, and reporting cruelty to animals. Call (978) 687-7453 x 6108 for more information!
Summer Camp
The MSPCA at Nevins Farm hosts a fun and educational Children's Summer Camp! The application process begins in late February of each year. Camp is offered over eight 1-week sessions for rising grades 2-9. We also recruit volunteer Junior Counselors, age 15+, to participate in this unique, hands-on opportunity!
Little Bookworms Story Time
We invite our community's youngest animal lovers and their adult counterparts to join us for story time on Fridays from September through May. This age-appropriate activity helps foster a sense of responsibility and compassion in our youngest visitors, from those in strollers to those in preschool.
Birthday Parties
Give the gift of kindness and compassion. Host your child's birthday at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm! 100% of the proceeds from our birthday party fee goes to the cost of care for our animals awaiting adoption. Reservations available weekends.
Are you a school teacher looking to integrate humane education into your classroom lesson plans?
